Founder and CEO of #movethedial
Jodi Kovitz is the Founder and CEO of #movethedial, a Toronto-based global movement launched in January 2017 to advance the participation and leadership of women in tech.
In 2017 she was recognized by the Women’s Executive Network as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women. In 2018, she was featured in Forbes, chosen as one of Canada’s Top 25 Women of Influence, and named one of Toronto’s Brand Stars by Adweek.
A lifelong philanthropist who wanted to give back to SickKids hospital for saving her daughter’s life, she conceived a strategy to raise $25M in the city’s tech community to build a new state-of-the-art emergency facility, oversees a team of tech leaders in pursuit of that goal and serves on the hospital foundation’s Capital Campaign Cabinet where she’s helping to raise $1.3B to transform children’s health.
Jodi also serves on a number of advisory boards, including Brim Financial, Maple, MediSeen, Lazaridis Scale-Up Program and Mayor John Tory’s Toronto Innovation Council. She co-chaired the mayor’s 2018 re-election campaign and sits on the Board of Directors of Toronto Global. She holds an LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School and an HBA from Ivey Business School.
